Hello and welcome, hope your Porsche owning experience proves a great one, 944's are fine cars and there are plenty of us slightly deranged enthusiasts here to impart knowledge to you. Oh and Teledials look excellent in my book. [:)]

Welcome! If you want to get to meet a load of 944 owners, and get to poke around under the cars in a workshop, there are open days coming up at 2 specialists. See the "events" faq for details.

Just one thing, I'm sure you know that the belts have a maximum life of 4 years recommended, regardless of mileage. If it's been sitting in storage make sure they're changed, and probably the oil seals as well. Mine was weeping oil onto the belts after 18 months in storage.

Thanks paul for the heads up, once i drive it back i plan on servicing it so i will look at putting new bets on..what belts will i need to replace?

Kitchy, yes it was on ebay (think it still is) it was in my price range so i thought id take a punt, once iv finished with it i hop it will be worth abit more!

Cant make any meets at the minute as im going away next week, but will do once im back.

Loads of pics to come following a full detail over the weekend....watch this space!!

Belts aren't difficult, you would need the porsche tensioning tool to get the right belt tension unless like me you are willing to 'risk' the 90 deg twist or other such less scientific methods!
