New turbo

I thought I would say hello to regional friends. I hope to join an upcoming event shortly in May as cant make the quiz nite due to work commitments. I have just recently joined the turbo set by p/x my 997 2s for a 997 turbo tip coupe. Its an amazing car and having just driven it to the South of France and back the other week, its a very capable bit of kit. I will work out how to upload some pics but havent got many yet anyway. Sadly I am without it this week as its returned to the OPC to have my own number plate fitted and to spray the front PU which was forgotten when I bought it (it had a couple of k miles on it when I purchased). At least that removes the odd stone chip from the 2500 mile high speed trip! I have a bright red boxster basic for the week which is a serious let down on the power side, its makes a noise but our 3.0d bmw is much quicker. Anyway it will make the turbo seems even more special when I get it back in a week. Hatfield have my grey 2s for sale, 19k miles at more of course than I got for it but not a huge amount more, its was a great car and I miss the sports exhaust it had on it for that noise. The turbo is a bit too quiet but its like hitting the nitro button on playstation....no drama just immense speed when you do want it but you run out of road too quickly every time. Any experience on aftermarket exhausts for this model....do tubi do one now? Anyone done the change? Anyone here a member of ecurie25, I have just paid my joining fee and can also play in some interesting bits of kit this summer.

Welcome & congrats.
not many (any?) turbos in our region... I have an older turbo (965) which is fast AND loud. Would be interested to compare notes expecially on a fast run :).
PS: you're welcome to join us sometime on a run, a few of us turbos get together monthly, although you'd definitely be the newest, surely the fastest (although some of us are modded up) but definitely not the loudest.
btw, we're going to Goodwood this Sunday.
PM me with your contact details if you would like to be added to our email list.
