New tyres - alternative to Pirelli

Hi all
We've had the Cayenne GTS for about a year now and will be looking to replace the tyres in the next 2-3 months. Apart from "winter" tyre season approaching, what do people recommend on alternative boots?
I'm rather fond of the Continentals (ContiSportContact 5Ps) on the 911 and wonder if anyone has them on their Cayenne as an option. I'm not that interested in the Porsche statement regarding Pirellis (apart from if I do end up with them to have all 4 the same N0,1,2,3 etc).

Thanks

I have had Michelin (summer tyres) on my Cayenne GTS from new in 2012 and have been very pleased with longevity, grip and noise levels. For winters I have Pirellis and they have been excellent including performing well in snow. I am due to replace the Michelin summer tyres and am probably going for the same again. I do not think you can go very wrong with the approved main brands other than personally I think that Pirellis wear faster than Michelins. Cannot speak for Contis.

I find that Bridgestones are the best for long life and i have
no complaints about grip or anything else with them.
Scorpion ice and snow for winter though

I've got Michelin on mine and they are great tyres, so I've just ordered a set for my wife's Q7 after trying Yokohama and Pirelli without being impressed with either.
Ive also put Michelin on my 993 c4.

Thanks for all your replies and helpful advice. Annual milage is relatively low for us - around 5k±. The Michelin might be worth a try (can't get Bridgestone in my size).
Still might try the Contis. Will update the post in due course.

I have the Pirellis for the summer. I don't do huge miles but the compound they are made of looks soft and they seem to be wearing quite quickly. Might go for Michelins next time.

But the the winter tiskev is 100% right, Scorpion Snow and Ice all the way. You can climb mountains with those boots on!
