Help !!!!!!!!

Okay, so I now have 4 new tyres ROSSo N4's, took it back for wheel alignment check and yes it is slightly so will get that sorted.

But I now have wheel vibration/wobble 70+ mph since the tyres have been fitted and they have been balanced.

Please any suggestions, help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

I would get the balancing re-checked. I have had it before where they were supposedly balanced, but were subsequently (the next day) found to well out.
I don't know if the guy made a mistake or the weight fell off, or somehow the tyre "settles" on the rim.
This is the most obvious reason and I would check this first.

If you accellerate hard in the first couple of days after fitting new tyres, it is possible to cause the rims to "spin" a little inside the tyre - the lubricant used to ease the tyre on to the rim can allow this to happen. So the balancing can go out straight away...

I once found a wheel out of balance, but it took a trip to Germany to do so - it was only a problem over 120MPH:p

Thanks guys, just getting paranoid over these tyres as everything else was fine before.

Will get them checked out at the weekend and let you know.

It could be worse. I year or so ago I had a similar problem with my sensible family car (M-B C43 AMG), and I took it to my dealer after I was getting terrible vibrations at 90-100 mph on my way to Le Mans. They had the car for two days, said that all the wheels were balanced, but that the diagnostic system had detected a fault in the gearbox, which they duly 'cleared down'. They asked me to retest the car because they had not been able to induce the vibration, because none of their technicians would break the speed limit! I telephoned Mercedes Customer Service and they confirmed that if a car developed a fault only detectable by driving the car above national speed limits, they there were unable to perform a diagnosis. They actually suggested that I take my car to Germany, and hand it over to a German dealer! When I implied that I thought this a little extreme, they then suggested I hire a race circuit and invite my dealer.
Rather incredulous, I took the car round to my local tyre specialist (I know, I know!), who immediately diagnosed a rear wheel, and the car car has ben perfect ever since!
Given that most Porsches will easily manage twice the National speed limit, I wonder what the OPC's position is?
