Thoughts for new and best Tyres please;

I'm based Surrey, UK. Mainly fun road driving, full yearly use, all weathers + some Track-Days in Spring & Summer (>6 pa) avg 4, UK & Eur.

My GT4 has the Club-Sport pack and PCCBs.

Was supplied shod with Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2's, F: 245/35ZR 20 & R: 295/30ZR 20.

I want to move to Michelin replacements. Do I go for Pilot Sport S 5's, or Pilot Sport Cup 2's ?

Your thoughts & recommendations please.

Whatever your choice, it's worth remembering that should you eventually want to buy a Porsche Approved Warranty for the car, they will insist on matching N-rated tyres.

get 2 sets! You will use more than one set over time anyway. So put Cup 2s on for the summer and switch PS4s for the autumn - spring. N rated of course

That's quite mixed use, and very similar to mine. I run two set of wheels, one with Cup2s (summer, track) one with PS4Ss (winter, non-track). I swap in Spring and Autumn.

Thank you Gents - all noted.

I like the idea of two sets of tyres on two sets of wheels, I've done that before many years ago on my M3-CSL of the time. So, I'll acquire a new set of OEM wheels and get them shod with PS4Ss for those cooler and wetter UK months.

All that said, I have been quite impressed over the past 2 months of driving with the Dunlop Maxx's - very good grip and adhesion even on wet tarmac.
