New Tyres

The time has come to think about dipping into my purse and buying some new tyres.

Currently running Pirelli P Zero's, the rears will perhaps have around 1.5k miles left before the wear indicator shows. The fronts seem barely worn.

I've never been sure that the Pirelli has been as sure footed as some other makes of tyre I've used on other cars - they've always seemed a little "loose" especially in the wet and rear can step out without any warning.

The sensible thing to do would be to replace the rears and carry on. However, I don't aways take the sensible route! The Yokohama AVS Sport seem to be a well reviewed tyre on other marques, but I can find very little, if anything worthwhile, regarding their use on Boxster's.

As it's a Porsche approved tyre I quite fancy giving them a go...any thoughts regarding wear, wet weather performance and noise please?

Thank you

Jackie
