In consultation with R9 members, concerns have been raised about the parking and security of the current monthly meeting venue.
John Lord has therefore decided to move the meeting venue for our region.
The new meeting point should start in December after it has been announced in PP and here on the forum.

Novembers Meeting will be at the Drum and Monkey as usual.

Please make a note of the new venue and watch out for the announcement.

The new West Midlands monthly meeting venue is;

The Bear, Berkswell nr Coventry
It is situated on the crossroads of Meriden Road and the Coventry Road. Only a few minutes from the NEC.

It has plenty of carparking, a beer garden to welcome summer back [;)] and serves food all day.

Meetings start from here on the 18th January 2007

I'm sure this is on someone's todo by year end list but just in case I thought I'd mention it - browsing through the Club's web site I happened to notice that details of the new venue are not given there.

Its only just been decided, John let me know straight away so I could add it to the forum.
It will be in this months PP and the website I'm sure will be updated..

Helen, the meetings start at 8pm..
However the venue is open all day for food, it has an excellent specials board with usually a very wide range of meats and fish.

Providing not swept away by floods or wind I'll be there, but probably in the back-up vehicle, I don't like getting my new toy wet if I can avoid it.

small problem..

all the roads to the venue seem to be closed.[] and AA saying please don't go out unless you have to..
drat, the one day i have someone elses car & petrol to playwith [][][]

Just about to leave, so hopefully it will be a clear run [:D]
Yes the weather is looking bad, (but not as bad as earlier) so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Very good turnout this evening, especially with what the weather threw at us earlier today but perhaps that showed by the lack of Stuttgart machinery in the carpark [;)].
Great to meet and get to chat to members this evening.[:)]

The upstairs room complete with refreshments was pretty much full with most seats taken (note need more chairs)

The roads in the area we're clear of both fallen trees and standing water. However I did hear onroute via the radio that the majority of the motorway network had fallen into chaos [:'(]

Hopefully see you all next month.
