new wheel centres

Looked at my wheel centres in the week and found they were starting to wear. They are the normal black and silver badge type, ie not coloured. Some of the black on the plastic is weathered. They are the plastic variety, not alloy.

Anyway, whilst trawling through e-bay i discovered some coloured wheel centres which were advertised as TEQUIPMENT WHEEL CENTRES, all boxed and in good condition. Put my bid in and won them for £49 including postage. They are the large badge and not the wheel centres with the additional line circled on the wheel centre with the small badge. Probably confused everyone now!!!

Anyway, how do i know whether the wheel centres purchased are original TEQUIPMENT centres. I have tried but can't find any part numbers or costs on the internet. I'm sure i have a bargain but would still like to know if i have purchased original product.

Thanks......anyone throw any light on the subject???

There are a lot of imitation Porsche wheel centres on eBay. I bought a set which sound like the ones you are describing, a bit cheaper IIRC, but at least the seller didn't proclaim then to be the genuine article. Personally, I thought they looked fine, so what the heck.

The smaller crests with the ring around are part number 993.361.303.10.9A1 and are £33.74 each. There is another cap listed in the Tequipment section of the PET which is part number 928.361.032.11.TPP which are £20.02 each, and I have the feeling these might be the larger crested ones.

the ones if i'm thinking right are the later type ones you have bidded for and won..

on 997 and 987 the brought out a newer type centre cap without the inner circle and with a larger badge and stuck on better too....

you may have got this type

Thanks Guys....i'm still chasing this one. I now thinkthey were tequipment for the cayenne. Will remove and post the part number later to see if anyone can confirm.

The Cayenne Tequipment colour crested ones are part number 955.361.303.06.9A1 - Convex, or 955.361.303.05.9A1 - Concave.
