I am thinking about purchasing a new set of wheels for my 993 c4. There are several advertised in mags. Porshe replicas such as 18" rs look a like. Are these any good, quality etc.

Hi Ian and welcome,

Which xenon lights are you fitting and are you doing it yourself? I'm fed up with the dark too.

About a year ago I read some posts about 18" wheels only working if you make some changes to "spacers", but I'm sure others will post some replies that are more informative than me.

Thanks for the replies. I went with the 17" inch wheels - as you say, Porsche recommends it and ultimately I actually have no idea whether it's safe to break this rule. The 17 inch split rims I've ordered should look better than the standard 16 inch original wheels.

Mark, I'm ordering a Xenon package from Design911 (based in Essex). They are fitting everything for me. Will let you know what they're like. I've read that a lot of people are fitting the unit supplied on www.hids4u.co.uk. Might be worth a look. although I'm not sure how hard they are to fit yourself. I made sure the package I'm getting still allows you to flash with the headlights on.

Cheers
