Hi, can anyone tell me please whether the following wheels will fit my car, 996 c2

Current wheels are front 225/40 7.5 j x 18 I think they are ro 50. Rears are 265/35 10 j x 18. Ro 65

Currently looking at front 8.5 j x 18. ET 40 with rears 10.5 j x 18. ET 42. Bbs techart wheels.

If you feel they will fit will it mean new tyres as well and would the drive and grip alter much

Thanks.

They won't fit. The fronts would stick out another 23mm, and the rears 29mm. This is a useful offset calculator: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Cheers Richard, last minute bidding on eBay pushed the price up significantly anyway. I need to try to access the forum more regularly but work keeping me away from this at the moment. Many thanks for your help again.
