New Windscreem

Hi there

Had a crack on my windcreen so called the insurance copnay who suggested Autoglass replace it for my excess of just £60. Despite them then coming out 4 times with the incorrect screen, they finally came with the right one and fitted it.
Now I have noticed that there are two fairly regular patches of condensation on the inside of the screen in the bottom left and bottom right hand corners- that lasts well after the screen has demisted in this cold weather. Is this normal? I have noticed a bit of flex in the screen where the patches are - if I push it there, it seems to move a tiny bit.....

thanks

Alex

I've just been and given mine a good prod and poke, but it doesn't move at all. I wonder if they haven't bonded it in properly and it's leaking cold air in there.

Wouldn't let Autoglass within 100 miles of a Porsche.

There's a problem with this because typically insurance companies seem to specify a (short) list of allowed windscreen companies.

Anyone found a solution to this?

Interested because, one day, I hope to find an excuse to get my 993-windscreen-creak fixed.

Marke, I do believe there has been some forum discussion on this, but I cant remember where. Think the conclusion was that most insurers would listen favourably if you explained how vital a Porsche screen is to the structural integrity of the car. Then explained to them about sealing/taping procedures needed etc.
ie blind 'em with science, my son.
