spotted a perfect ( for me ) 718 in my local OPC last weekend and decided to purchase it
having had silver and black cars before I was looking for something different so the bright yellow 718 they had for sale was perfect for a bit of weekend fun
being a market launch car it was heavily specced, with full leather, 18 way adaptive seats, painted yellow interior, yellow belts, dials, Bose, 20 inch wheels, bi xenons and all the other usual options like light design, parking sensors, GTsteering wheel, dual zone climate, heated seats etc etc . The only thing it didn't have was a sports exhaust but after spending a week with it it's plenty loud enough
anyway I love it, it really cheers you up in the morning with all the yellow bits, looking forward to putting some mileage on it over summer and should hopefull be able to get to a few meets

thanks, yeah they are satin platinum.Pthornley said:that looks great delboy
youve got me thinking about wheel colours now
is that Satin finish ? Or black ?
Agree the satin wheels look great - and would go well with the yellow. Plus they don't show brake dust quite as bad (if you have steel discs!)
Enjoy getting to know the car!
Great colour and an awesome 718

the colour really does make a huge difference, my last car was a rhodium silver 981 which was eye catching but nothing compared to this
I've had it a week and I've had everything from a 90 year old lady in a mobility car wanting her photo taken in it to a 20 year old takeaway delivery guy taking photos of himself next to it for 10 minutes. It seems to be a very friendly and cheery colour.
the only problem I seem to have is convincing people its 2 litre when they ask about the engine……or convincing them it cost less than 200 grand When the youngsters ask how much it costs.
unfortunately it's a magnet for police due to the colour and sound, not that I see many but last night on a little drive a police car pulled behind me just as I was entering a 5 mile long 20 mph zone with speed humps, I could see them pi***ing their sides laughing behind me as I was basically driving in first gear for most of the journey. They then pulled up at the traffic lights and said ' that cars awesome, it's a shame I had to see it going so slow '
loving it so far …… gonna give it a good detail tomorrow and figure out how to post multiple pictures on here
i would be interested to see what the people with sports exhausts have to say about the sound as I love the standard sound... and it has plenty of pops and crackles with the standard set up ?? So does the PsE add more ?? That may be overkill ??

My car has Sport Chrono, so when Sport mode is selected the PSE pops, crackles, and backfires like a Banshee on the over-run. It's a tad overdone and unnecessary to be honest, but it adds to the drama of pressing-on traffic-free, flowing mountain roads where I live. Passengers love it.

mine pops about 3 times when I rev it to 6k and change gear …… does the PSE do more or just louder ?? Or both
mine sounds a lot deeper and on sport mode which my 981 never did really
i know it's a bit of an ambiguous question I'm just struggling to see how it could sound better ! I love it. Ill have to have a drive in one with the PSE I guess
I bet you absolutely love your 718s .... it must be very quick With launch control
Personally, I think all sports cars should be yellow.
I'm new to Porsche and am on my second Boxster within 18 months.
The first was a 987 in meteor grey, then like you I went for something different, a 981 in Lime Gold.

Mines a launch car too so has plenty of kit added (around £10k's worth) which is mostly useful... I've got the twin black tail pipes but not the PSE and its plenty loud enough for me everyday.
Still enjoying it after 6 months (apart from a few niggles) and I too have found myself trying to convince the uninitiated that it 'only' cost £50k and has a 2.0 motor !
Not everyone's cup tea.
Strangely, when I bought it from a midlands OPC, they had a 981 Cayman in the same colour & interior of agate grey/lime gold.
