[]Contemplating first Porsche; got a 993 cab 4 in mind. If buying from a specialist dealer (with warranty provided) is it still recommeded that an independent inspection is carried out before purchasing? If so, any recomendations for such an inspection if car is with a London dealer?

Hello,
I would definitely recommend an independant inspection. I bought with a warranty from a recognised dealer but I found the inspection very valuable and a good bargaining tool.
I used Peter Morgan for the inspection and would have no hesitation in recommending him. The service included an HPI check and a comprehensive report with pictures.
I am sure others on here can give you recommendations for others.

There are many things the warranty won't cover so it's quite likely the PPI will pay for itself in bargining power (or repairs before you buy). But there is also the "peace of mind" it gives you and another document to put in the file that shows you really care about the car you are buying.
