newbie buying boxster

babes

New member
hi, ive just joined this site and looking for advice as to what to look for when buying a boxster and which is the best engine size to go for. i am looking for a boxster dated around 2000 and wondering if i could obtain a good one for say £9000. i have heard that you can get problems with oil in the water (dont know if this is true?) and that its difficult to check this because the expansion tank is hidden and only a long filler pipe leading to it. any advice would be very much appreciated as i really dont want a lemon!!!

thanks in advance

peter

i bought my 2000 boxster in october for £9300 so should find one out there, specially now the market has dropped as well.

as for problems will wait for someone else to post as im not sure of common faults, i did have a pressure problem in my water system but had that corrected on warranty
