Hi guys,

After 3 Nissan GTR's, I have now decided to try a Porsche 997 Turbo. I have always loved them, but never got around to actually owning one - until now. Yesterday I picked up my 2008 997 Turbo Tiptronic, with full Gen 2 exterior conversion. The car has been upgraded by DMS to 650 bhp and I absolutely love the car. GT Silver with Chocolate Brown leather interior.

Today whilst driving the car locally - I had a warning come up saying 'Failure of engine comp. blower' ????!!!

I have no idea what this is!!! I feel a liitle let down as I had high hopes of this German Masterpiece. I have only had the car for a day.

Any idea's what the issue is likely to be? Also - I am based in West London, near Heathrow. Are there any reputable specialists in this area that anyone on here could kindly recommend?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Rocky

Thank you guys. Uxbridge is literrally around the corner from me - so will give them a try tomorrow morning.

Has anyone had this issue before? Or have any idea what the cause could be?

The engine compartment extractor fan is reported as faulty. Could be just high engine compartment temperature from that "hot" engine. If I recall correctly there was an Porsche workshop campaign to disable the slow speed for that fan, which was I assume to improve cooling.

Thanks Geoff.

I feel a lot better as it doesn't sound like a major problem/issue.

Guys - am I right in assuming that it is still ok to drive the car providing it is not overheating???
