Hi all, i've just bought myself a 1983 944 lux and am after a couple of spares plus possibly some advice. Firstly my hazards seem to flash on the dash almost all the time but not the actual indicators unless switched on. The hazard switch is slightly broken and requires some fiddling to work. Therefore i need a replacement switch and maybe a relay too as this may be sticking. Other problem is my front wipers- they stop dead when switched off which is a problem i've had on an alfa before but not sure if its the motor or not?? Any help would be appreciated. I'm in preston by the way if anyones nearby

Andy,
I may have a spare hazard switch - taken from a 924. I'll have a look in the morning weather permitting. Will post results after I've had a look for it.
The wiper motor not returning to the parked position is probably power failing to reach the wiper's electrical contacts within the housing, possibly a dirty contact. The wiper motor is easily removed and dismantled to check and clean. Porsche electrics on older models can be a bit of a pain, just remember how old that wiring is.
I'm in Cleveleys (between Blackpool and Fleetwood).
Just looked at your website - you probably know a bit about wiring.[:)]

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply. Somebody mentioned the wiper problem being related to a newer dash being fitted and electrics not being the same but i'm not too sure. Also just read on here about a place in warton that does laser alignment. Do you know the place? I could also do with getting belts changed-you any experience of this? I'm in clifton
