A big hello to all at PCGB.

I am a complete novice to the Porsche brand, this is my first ever purchase into Porsche.
And I have come in at a high level with a purchase of a Cayenne Turbo.

Please pardon my ignorance to Porsche as I am still learning, why oh why do Porsche only offer a 2 yr warranty ????
This was a big shock to me when I asked the question.

I couldn't wait for a new one so I took a fully loaded CTT 10 months old off the dealers forecourt after scanning the Porsche network for a few days.

Here she is:

I have been reading a few posts today from you lucky owners, & I have enjoyed every moment.
My other car is a CL600 Bi-turbo & I have spent more time in the CTT than the CL recently & enjoyed every minute of it.

I look forward to engaging in this forum with you all.

thanks for the compliments guys [:D]

How's your V6 going James ? have you had it long & is it problem free ?
I was a little anxious buying this one as I had read quite a few threads from other Cayenne owners compaining about various issues.
So far so good though.

Welcome.
Hope that you are enjoying the car. I have to say that black does suit the cayenne. Here's mine!

Your turbo certainly looks the business in black. Have a humble S, but think it looks good in the lapis blue. Thankfully there doesn't seem to be too many problems with the model. A couple of recall details - the rear window microswitch and headlamp condensation both have mods, and yours should have been done. I've had a couple of trim clips snap and replaced under warranty, but other than that, sweet as a nut. Coming up to 25k miles and average 18 mpg overall.

Yes the warranty is rubbish - I believe you can get extensions - at a price.

I also like the Lapis Blue on the Cayenne.

My dealer told me that Porsche would contact me before the warranty expires & a 1yr extension is likely to cost around £750.00

I think that's pretty good value when you consider that labour rates are over £90 p/h[]
