Hi John,

Welcome to the raving looney drivers club.......well I think that might depend whether your from the East or West!!![:D]

I had a 3.2s Boxter, same year as yours and loved it. So I hope you have as many fun days in it as I did in mine. You'll need to pay us all a visit at one or both of our Porsche Owners get togethers. 1st Tuesday of the month for the weegies (sorry can't remember the venue but I'm sure someone will update this) and 1st Thursday of the month for the Easties at the Dakota hotel at South Queensferry. You'd be made very welcome.

(Have I blown it for going to the weegies next meeting?????) []
Kim

If you go to the meeting at Dakota on 1st November you are in luck, I cannot make it so I won't be dancing on the tables [8D]

I loved my Boxster S hope you enjoy yours as much [:D]

You will be made very welcome though as Kim has said [;)]

( sorry had to alter message the first one did not make sense lol [8|] )

I was going to go to their next meeting, but I think I'll have to go in disguise!! [:)]

Hi...
I`m from the west (Helensburgh) not quite weegie land, near enough I suppose lol!! Got a nice drive up to Aberdeen on Fri as I`m afraid to say my wee car is going back to OPC for some repair, after Glasgow quoted me over £1500 to replace ALL control Arms and bushes, alright for a car I only owned for a few weeks! []

Will let you all know the outcome..

Look forward to Owners get together, sound like fun!! [:)]

ouch - you should phone Peter at Motortune in Shotts - a helluva lot closer that Aberdeen and he would probably half the opc price, if not more.

As for the weegie meet - its the first Tuesday in the month (6th Nov next one) in the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel here:

john, as per other posts, you would be most welcome at both edinburgh or glasgow meets,

glasgow meets are more car orientated chat, anorak talk about tyre pressure, how sticky rubber is but the banter is hilarious most times ! especially if Mike 58 is talking nonsense !

thursdays are a little more upmarket with dinner at dakota and the occasional chick-a-babe getting drunk and dancing on the tables (which is an urban myth) actually she was way too drunk to even climb onto the table never mind shake her hips !!!!! [;)]

Not guilty.......I'm always driving!!
Kx

Well I was driving at the last meeting ( where is the smilie with the halo above it's head when you want it [8D] )

Cheers,

Will find out next week if i`m at work, as I sometimes have to be in at work at nights!! Will def try Motortune in the future as i`m stuck between two warring factions at the mo, (opc`s Glasgow and Aberdeen) One say squeeky bushes, will be fine after a little grease, other say need to change all Sus. Arms!! This is not giving me a warm fuzzy feeling about going back there, as someone is giving me a wee run around []

In the meantime got an 07 plate Cayenne from the reds as my car is getting new Sus Arms in the rear and a little greasing to the front, hears hoping that does the trick [:)] [:)]

John,
Hi -I'm a fellow Helensburgh local - though orig from Belfast. Ref the OPCs I stopped using Glasgow several years ago when after a service they told me my brake pads needed replaced as they had not been fitted correctly. They went very quite when I said they had done the job 12 months earlier, just wish now I had taken it further rather than just walk away in disgust.

Cheers Guys,
I intend to get to the bottom of this, as surely they can`t get away with trying to fob us off with telling us what we want to hear! [:D]
