Hi folks, I have just bought my third 944,

I have in the past had a turbo and a cabriolet, now i have bought a lux.

I am not a member of the owners club yet, but I will get around to it asap.

I was hoping that I may be able to ask some questions and maybe receive some help and advice on technical stuff.

My car isnt running at the moment as it has been parked up for a long time and it needs a new master cylinder for the clutch, but as soon as it is I will out and about and coming to meetings.

:)

Welcome, there are current and past owners of 944s in the R1 region , you will get a lot of tips from them as well as recommendations who to use and who to avoid re maintenance ( but you prob know that if this is your 3rd one ) Can't promise to keep dancing tho Mike

Hello Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll get all your questions answered by the 'boys'!!!! Hope to see you along at one of the monthly meets. Are you east or west!!?? Kim

hi there, welcome to the club forum (is it JK?) , we hope to see you at some of the club meetings, first tue or first thu of the month or at some of the other club events. for any details of venues please feel free to give me a call on 07971 664 647. regards Scott Laurie RO for Scotland South.

Thank you for the replies. I am at the moment in the east of Scotland, but I do move around the UK a lot with my ummmm work :) I take delivery of the car this evening and can't wait to start tinkering with it. Hopefully I will be able to get to some meets before the end of October depending a lot on how long it takes to get the parts sourced and fitted.

Hi and welcome along. You know you don't need to take your porsche to the meets, you can turn up in anything. [;)] Jane

Would that not be disrespectful to the people who have spent good money on fab cars and defeat the nature of the club and the meet ? ;) I am surprised that your TVR gets you there without breaking down though lol... Sorry couldnt resist. I loved my old TVR 350 (wedge) but it just wasn't practical for daily use.

I think JayKay's going to fit right in!! Welcome to the Club.

Car has just been delivered, I am very impressed by the amount of history with it, I have got a fsh and nearly all the reciepts since new for work done, and I also have the previous owners insurance details and certificates lol The car has a dateless Northern Irish plate, but that will have to go for a more personal one :) All I need now is the clutch cylinder, a damn good valet, the head linning and sunroof lining to be changed and then I need to get a black dash board, door cards and center console. Oh and a touch up on the paint on the bumper. All in I would think no more £150 to have a perfect and I mean perfect 944 with an astounding fsh.

Is it JK.......don't think so Scott, more probably Bruce Forsyth........keep dancing!!!![:D][:D][:D] And Mr Space Cowboy, I'm intrigued, how do you think all that work will only cost £150!!!??? Please, come along to our meetings and reveal your real self........you sound like you'd fit in with us lot. You'd get to meet a few more jokers in the pack!!![;)] Kx (aka Kate Moss or should that be Stirling!!)

Lol that will I guess teach me for buying my previous from nearly new [:(] I have sourced the sills though and a guy to fit them so it should not be too long before its back on the road, unless of course there are other hidden issues.
