Afternoon all! Recently joined up so thought it was time I said hi and shared my story so far on Porsche ownership!
Coming from high powered Japanese cars, changed direction and purchased a well spec’d, 2010 Cayman S from a gent in Scotland, hopped on a flight in Feb ‘24 and went to pick her up!
5 or so months later headed to the Nurburgring for a few laps! Been a few times now but definitely enjoyed the drive across the pond more in the Cayman than my other cars!
Anyway, it was great on the track but I felt it could do with a suspension refresh! Fast forward to Feb ‘25 and I splashed out on some shiny bits!
Soooooo, after leaving a very hefty hole in my wallet (still need to explain to the missus the extra cost!!) I got the car back a few weeks back! What a transformation! Those Bilstein B16 Damptronics are great, way firmer than stock but not too harsh… switch to sport and she’s asking to be thrown around!! H&R anti roll bars and polly bushed coffin arms also installed followed by a ride height check, corner weight and geo set up…
Apart from the front subframe saga, I’m very happy and can’t wait to get back to the Nurburgring later this year!
