Todays Autocar has pictures of new Coupe & Roadster....

Basic specification is as follows:-

If it aint broke don't fix it is the philosphy behind the new Boxster, so the rear drive platform, suspension, steering, brakes and electrics are carried over with only MINOR changes. That means the 2.7 & 3.2 litre sixes will continue, boosted to around 240bhp and 270bhp.

Also new is an improved cabin, with better materials and a more modern logical layout. And as on the new 911 drivers will be able to toy wiith a new dual clutch gearbox.

Mirroring the evolutionary design of the 41 year old 911, Porsche is gently tweaking the Boxster's styling.

So glad they havn't messed around too much. I hope the new interior lives up the the rest of the car. One persons idea of an improvement doesn't always mean it is... E.g Subaru's new face a couple of years back...

Can't wait to see the new tin top.

Hi Rob
article suggests it will be the 997 this year and the Boxster next. Has this been confirmed?
Andy

Andy ... As always nothing can be confirmed for a while still, but my OPC, who received my email with info, said it's on for late this year still!

He had previously told me it would be Spring 2005 ie 1/2 a model year run. He said as soon as he knows for sure he will contact me but conversely as soon as I know for sure can I contact him :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Cheers ..Rob

I doubt these are genuine pics as the front end seems quite different on the images.

The yellow one looks like a cross between a carerra gt and a 996 tt front ends.
