Next years Husborne Crawley auto jumble

Have just come back from a fruitful trip to the HC autojumble and would encourage other 996 owners to make sure they mark the date for next year. Having been told by owners of older cars that there 'wouldn't be much for me' as a 996 owner I was suprised at the qty of 996/986 bits to be had.

A lot of the home counties OPC spares departments were there clearing out their overstocks/wrong orders and the bits they have taken off of customer cars. This included a whole array of wheels, interior trim bits, exhausts etc.

I came away with a brand new replacement black leather/aluminium handbrake asembly for £10 and an as new set of exhaust cats (from an 03 car) for £50 including tips. The first I need to replace a slightly scuffed current item - the second are to put on the car if I ever I take it to the track as my current Mille Miglia is a bit on the loud side and wouldn't come in under 105db.

There was one stall with some carbon fibre/boxster red trim bits including a carbon handbrake at £20. There was also a slightly used PSE without tips which was going for £150 !! See you next year.

I got a set of brand new Boxster S wheels (2003 model) and tyres from Simon Butterworth (Porschapart) for a very reasonable price.

Well worth the trip[:)]
