Well, I'm afraid the 944 stayed in the garage and I spent all my time on my new (to me) Alfa. What a wonderful machine [:D]

Hi Steve, hope you have more luck than we did with our Sportswagen they are a nice car though (apart from electrics[])

We fancy a GT. they look great.

The wheels are 18" sport design's

Looks sweet, so jealous - mine's filthy, it pee'd it down up here, so not been able to get her washed (or start my wheel refurb yet [:(])

Cheers,
Robbo

Should have washed mine too, but instead I decided to have a look at the (common?) heater problem. It seems to have a mind of its own, and blows hot most of the time. Checked on Clark's garage and the faulty linkage is supposed to be under the dash, but I didn't fancy lying upside down with my head in the footwell, so decided to look under the bonnet for a valve to shut off the water supply to the heater.

No luck there, but I recall someone writing in PP that they'd installed a plumbing fitting to do that. Has anybody done this?

Robbo, what wheel refurb are you doing?  I would like to see the finished results if poss.

I'm just refurbing the D90s - rubbing down, repaint silver & re-laquer. I'll post up some pics when I do them. I'd really like to get them mirror polished, but don't think funds can stretch to that at the mo.

Cheers,
Robbo

What colour are you spraying them?

My D90s were refurbished by Porsch-apart before I bought them and strangely they were painted a BMW colour - Lachssilber Metallic (#203). I really like it although I'm glad I asked before I refurbished my centre caps!!

I too gave the S2 a good clean in preparation for the Cotswold Rally on Sunday, then we went for a drive and got the interior mats covered in mud afterwards [8|] Something to brush off as it dries during the week

You don't need to lie in the footwell, simply take the glovebox liner out and the linkage is just to the right of it. Disconnect the fuse for the glovebox light first (or you'll blow it), undo the two screws that hold the glovebox lid on, then undo the six interior screws that secure the glovebox liner. Pull it forward to expose the heater linkages

Just came back from holiday on Saturday. Went to another Porsche club on Sunday where my car was the dirtiest due to not being able to clean it for a while and is still in a state at the moment thoroughly enjoyed it though and on the drive there and back saw many nice Porsches.

Has anyone got the part numbers for the linkages? PET won't load on my useless computer no matter how much extra coal I put in the back....[]
