I really like the article in the July PP on the fuel guage float probelm. Very clearly presented - with photos that look like they were taken in a studio [:)] (No Haynes manual to hand eh?[;)])
The article is the sort of thing other registers (including mine!) would do well to try and copy - well done Paul.

It was good wasn't it . . . . next month someones written a piece on replacing the rear seat wells.

Constantly trying to get people to write things . . . difficult.

Oh, that's me.[:)]
I'd better step forward and introduce myself.
I've been lurking for too long so it's a good chance to join the forum.

Thanks for the praise Mark, I'm only too happy to help Phil and contribute a little.
Here's a few shots that show a little more of my car.
It's a '72 2.4S and was recently restored by Nick Moss at Early911.co.uk

Wow that looks gorgeous [8D]

I often wonder how a superbly restored example with modern paint would compare to a brand new model back in '72. I'm guessing that if a time machine were available, your cars would look infinitely glossier [:)]

Crikey, the sight of those fine wires scared me!
Excellent article and comparing PP with Christophorus shows a clear balance in favour of PP. After over twenty years of Porsche ownership it is only after the purchase of our Cayman that we've been sent Christo and the ads, classifieds, articles, registers, regions and general feel of a bunch of chums is reason alone for membership.
Mummery rules OK
PS I do like green cars.....

Paul . . . welcome to the darker side [:D]

Thanks again for the article . . . I love the technology that went into that gauge.

Phil

It is a great artlicle, well done Paul [:)]

I'm sure we can come up with more ideas for articles whilst having a drink or 2 at Lemans [;)]

I have to agree with Mark, reading the article gave me the confidence to strip mine down.
Good work, keep it up.
Cheers,
Paul.
