Nice New Pipes

Thought I'd just share the nice new pipes that will be added to the car shortly - essentially the old pipes (Clutch & Fuel rail) but converted to Stainless Steel braided hose - much safer/ reliable than the 26 old slightly perished rubber versions !

Very reasonable price too = £50 for the pair from Spectrum Hose in High Wycombe.

Sweet.

I'm a little tempted as my clutch pipe caught fire during a (very) hard day on the dyno You've got to love Wayne

John

if you send you old clutch pipe to Paul Rutter at Spectrum hose (high wycombe details via google) he'll refurb it for you using the existing fittings and change the hose over to stainless steel braided, he's the DB's when it comes to hoses and is very skilled at reusing fittings/ ferrels etc.

I hope your fuel line doesnt "breathe" fuel vapours like the ones i got from Spectrum Hose.
Im about to replace them as it stinks my garage out.
Spectrum were not interested when i phoned them about it.

Modern fuel contains ethanol, which seeps through traditional rubbers used in cars.
Spectrum hose should not have used the type of hose they did my fuel lines.
Teflon with braided outers is better.
I think rigid genuine pipes are best, but the rear beam makes them difficult to fit ,as you have to drop it to get them in.

Okay thanks. I've already resigned myself to a big bill to get all the lines replaced with OEM parts.
