Hey all,

Just spotted this while trawling ebay, might make a nice project for someone although the price maybe a little high for a none runner ? BTW I am not connected with the car or the seller.

Im sure i saw this abit back on the motorway on the back of a trailer,if its the same one it looked quite a nice car !!!

Not sure of the rules of eBay and how applicable they are, but if he is listing it at 10p, does that mean potentially someone could walk away with all of it for the princely sum of a Highland Toffee bar? There is no reserve on it, and the listing states 924 turbo (as opposed to a wheel nut or something). That is surely worth it?

I imagine it will become "no longer available for sale" if it doesn't make near £2k, which it won't.

Crank sensors are no longer available for these and it would have been worth more if it was still a standard 924 turbo which is begining to be a sought after increasingly rare car.

This is however a vandalised model, which does not run because it needs a part which is no longer available.... so its worth somewhere between £0.10 and £200

He stands as much chance of getting £2000 for it as I stand getting a contract as a porn star. (Offers by email only, nothing too kinky! lol)

I've asked the chap why the 10 pence listing.

Admittedly I've not sold a car on eBay, but I almost always start auctions at the lowest price possible even if they're quite high value. I find its a good way to guarantee you get lots of viewers and bidders straight away plus if I remember correctly not setting a reserve means you pay eBay lower fees. Its a bit of a gamble, but on the whole eBay is quite predictable if you provide enough information and time the auction right.

I have to admit I rather like the idea of getting something like this one day as a more extreme track project, whack in a modified 944T engine and you'd have a real fun car. However I think I'll hold off until I can afford to have a 944GTR or 924GTS replica built [:D] (in my dreams!).
Best regards,
Peter.

Hi Jon,

Is there no way at all of making a custom sensor or ditching the sensor and modifying the Engine Management ?
