Nice surprise

Went to pick up an ebay buy tonight, and spotted a familiar shape under a car cover. The wife suggested I wait ten minutes for her husband to return, as he likes to talk 944s.

Turns out it's an S2 that sort of sits there not doing a lot. He then opens his garage....

Squeezed in it a proper lift, within millimetres of the walls and door. On top is a lovely 930, underneath a really nice 944 turbo S.

Reminds me when I bought my 944 years ago. The then owner was an retired jaguar racing driver and tucked in his garage was an e-type he was restoring. It was like an Aladdin's cave of jag bits and pieces. He referred to the 944 as a modern day e-type...
 
That's a very nice sounding collection of Porsches, must have been a good chat ! I do hope he drives them from time to time !
