As a newbie to the forum I thought there may be some wise & enlightened members who can help with 1 or 2 questions on my 9 mth old 987.
The inside of the front windows get wet at the slightest downpour &, due no doubt to the awful winter, leave a film of salt when they dry.Is it a problem with seals or just because I drive with the window down whenever possible(the better to hear that noise)?
Also, joy of joys, some wonderful person gave me a carpark scrape this weekend causing fairly minor paint damage but ,quelle surprise, didn't leave me their insurance & contact details. So can anyone recommend a v good quality repairer in the N.E.area rather than the OPC?
P.S. Thanks Mark Bennett for the answer on the 2000rpm racket I'm booked in for remedial work next week.

My Boxster is just over 12 months old and goes in this morning for new window seals as my windows also get wet on the inside, so it's clearly a known problem.

Jedders - your avatar shows a car in rather a sad shape.... is that yours? Hope it was only metal that was damaged.

Re "... can anyone recommend a v good quality repairer in the N.E.area rather than the OPC? " ... if it is a minor scrape and not a full panel respray etc required, then I've used this guy on my previous Boxster and he did a super job. Might also depend where you are in NE - this guy operates Teesside area...
