Ninemeister, Sports & Classic, Tech 9 ?

I'm in the later stages of buying my first Porsche, I'm getting a PPI done but I'll probably want to get minor service done just to make sure we start off on the right foot and also get used to shelling out my cash - from reading the forum this seems to part of the fun (?) with a 993, don't get it myself but I'm sure I'll learn.

I'm based in Chester and each of the above garages seems to have a good reputation. I'm not looking for any race preparation or upgrades, I just want to keep a genuine car in good condition for driving everyday. I've spoken to each of these garages and they all appear to be friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Struggling to differentiate between them so any thoughts as to who you would recommend and why would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

I know 9M & Sports & Classic - both are excellent. Don't know Tech 9. Maybe go for the one that is closer to you?

P.S. 9M have a proper Hunter alignment rig & I know that a few other specialists use them for this. Not sure if S&C do or not, but you could ring & check.

I would also recommend Andy Kirkpatrick in Birkenhead. A former workshop manager with RR OPC and very experienced with all air and early water cooled models

I've been going to 9M for the last 8 years. I do a lot of miles going from Liverpool to Manchester and back each day, and on the occasions when the car has decided to throw a wobbler and I need a quick repair 9M have always been accomodating. One thing worth knowing - if you ever need towing to 9M then make sure the recovery people know there's an arch with a clearence of 10ft.

If you ever need leather work doing, there's a unit next to Unit 11 that has a good reputation
