No buying guide?

Hi :)

I have to be, unusual for me, "tactful" in this post lol :)

The buying guide would normally be written by the Register Secretary but as we ...hmmm how shall I put this,,,,lets say...disagree on various things...we have never had one.

I am more than happy to give ANYONE advice on any 928, and even inspect for them if near me (for free)

Or I can usually put people in touch with a 928 owner near to them who will help (928 owners are extremely helpful as we are a small close knit group)

On a general note, most 928s are mechanically bulletproof, and its generally the electrics that let them down sometimes, although its never enough to stop them starting or running as its usually things like electric windows, boot release etc etc

Any questions about specific problems or 928s you are considering buying, please ask or email me at the email address in my signature and I will ring you if needed :)

I hope this helps :)

All the best Brett :)

Looking at Buying a 928...
But no buying guide?...
Things to look out for Brett?
£5K max

Hi :)

For 5k you will get a VERY good S2 (preferably the 86 year like mine with the S4 brakes and suspension)... or a not so good S4.

As i said in other post, make sure ALL the electrics work, and I mean EVERYTHING.

If you need the aircon working, make sure it is BEFORE you buy it !! as its a couple of thousand to get it fixed...and dont believe the phrase "it just needs regassing" lol

If you are buying an auto, make sure you really boot it on a test drive ,then you will get all the power of that HUGE V8 :)

Manuals tend to put a premium on 928s of around 20% of the cost of the car (roughly 80% of all 928s were autos)

Any more questions just ask :)

All the best Brett :)
