No interior light!

For some reason both internal lights have suddenly stopped working (well actually it has just come back from the paintshop after getting the dreaded "rust around the windscreen" sorted but I don't think it can be anything they have done.)

I find it hard to believe that both bulbs have blown at the same time or both the door switches have gone at the same time, so before I try any bulb replacements etc, does anyone know if there is a fuse I should check.

Many thanks in advance,

Are you sure it's not the door switches sticking? Mine do sometimes, and a couple of flicks with a finger normally restores the light. Alternatively are you sure they've not rocked the light into the 'always off' position?

I've rocked the light switches backwards and forwards on both sides with the doors both open and closed, and I've pushed the door switches to check the play / movement is OK.

.... still nothing!

Now that sounds a likely scenario - thanks John. I will check when I am back at home at the weekend.

.... plus have a nose in the fuse box - I guess the right fuse is easy to find Mark?

I wouldn't have thought that they would have removed the bulbs when all they needed to do was put the light units to the off position. As willstat suggested it sounds more like the door switches have seized a bit; maybe due to the paint ovens drying the mechanism? My drivers door frequently siezes and I find that flicking it a few times frees it off but sometimes it is a bit reluctant and takes around 10 to 15 flicks.

Yes. The fuses and relays are all clearly labelled inside the fusebox lid. The main fusebox is in the far left corner of the front luggage compartment, when viewed from the front of the car. There are other fuses in the engine bay, but the one you need will probably be in the front compartment. If there are no spares in there, replacements can be bought in Halfords - correct rating only please.

I think it is fuse #11 which is in the row which runs from front to back of the car. When you pull it out it will also put the luggage compartment light out which is just above the fuse box.

My apologies it is in fact fuse #29 and the luggage compatment light will not go out when you pull the fuse.
