No reversing lights

Ive recently discovered that my reversing lights dont work. Ive tested at the bulb holder for power but there is nothing there. Ive read the Haynes manual (Not the best ever written) and it suggests that there is a fuse for 'back-up lights' number 28, 25 amp. My 944 is an '85 model with the small fuseboard under the glovebox with 1-15 fuses, and another above the bonnet release handle. Can anyone tell me the correct fuse, or even better, a diagram of what fuse is what. If its not a fuse, and its the switch, where is this and how easy or difficult is it to replace?
Thanks in advance[8|]

On my 86 car I had a dodgy connection to the switch - I think its going the same on my present car. IIRC the switch is relatively easy to get to from under the back of the car. sorry cant remember which side though.

According to the workshop manual for 84 to 85.5 cars the fuse is number 9 in the fusebox under the glovebox. It should be an 8 amp fuse but it also controls the indicators and the electric mirror, so if they still work it's not that.

I've found a picture of the switch and it is on the gearbox under the car as Tony says. The picture is rubbish though and does not really show whereabouts []

Thanks for the info, i'll get in under at the weekend. My indicators etc work fine so its not the fuse. Must be the switch
