Is it me?

Am I being pedantic?

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/217881.htm

In order to entice potential buyers we start with what we think is most important..

It's got 2 doors, uses petrol, and it's a coupe - Oh goody, that answers those questions.......

Oh, and if I lived in Greenwich I would probably be able to spell it.....

So its got everything you would expect a car to have or does it.... MOT TAX...hmm crucial selling points!

'Adjustable seats, Air conditioning, Computer, Driver airbag, Electric mirrors, Electric windows, Electric sunroof, Electrically adjustable seats'

So once you've adjusted the seats manually, you then get to fine-tune them electrically?[;)]

'PSM (Porsche Stability Management)...............Traction control'

So after the PSM's traction control has been activated, the actual traction control system will then operate?[;)]

It's quite a nice car though.[:)]

Nit picking I think...[&:]

OK, we know what PSM is, but many potential owners won't, and therefore clarification that it has Traction Control is probably valid.

They do have ass trays though - useful place to keep the locking wheel nut and the (never present in it's correct place) cigarette lighter in mine.[:D]

But has his wheels only been refurbed ont he outside with the tyres being left on?[;)]

Perhaps petrol two door coupe were included so that when someone does a search inlcuding those words that comes up? That may broaden the market place.

I do recall being asked by one insurer in May, after telling them it was a Porsche 911 Carrera S; "is that four or two doors?" and "is it petrol or diesel?". Really.

I was asked today if I would be towing a trailer to France with me.
This from my Insurance company... after I laughed out loud, she said " we have to ask that" [:'(]

I think the advert is done to be viewed by a wide range of people... not all know what come within the package... wheels and doors are a useful start though [;)]

I am still left wondering how many seats it has and what colour it is.
Do you think I should ask ?

PS - Gary - your time around Curborough would probably have been better without the caravan.
Perhaps you will leave it at home next year !!

What are' Tiptronic Black leather sport seats'?

Is Tiptronic Black the colour or are they Tiptronic seats in black leather ?

I was once told that I was Pedantic and sadly I had to correct the person on their pronounciation of pedantic.[:)]

Hi,

I would check if that photo has been "Photoshopped" - Not sure about the watercooled models, but the 993 is not homologated for towing.

I know some people on Rennlist use small trailors to carry their track wheels to and from the circuit, but I'm not sure how you mount a tow bar on a 911 - certainly one strong enough to tow a caravan with

ah well pete you'd need to ask fred hindle on that one...he is the caravan king of R18 and if porsche made a caravan he would have one![;)][:D]

I know of one 911 with a tow bar, it is used to tow a small trailer with a kart on. Owner is on this forum but I'll leave it to him to announce his presence and say how the tow bar is mounted and what weight it can pull.

Zeb, if Porsche made a caravan it would probably look like a Cayenne on steroids, which itself looks like a 911 on steroids! I'm quite happy with the R18 Race Centre and the American Grunt that pulls it. Plus the caravan's designated number would have to end in four and the middle number divisible by two, same as the rest of the fleet.[:)]

By the way Zeb, you are down as a PCGB Member! Perhaps I should ask the Forum Administrator to change it to 'Bramall Lane Season Ticket Holder'[;)]

Cheers,
