no washers!

Sorry to bother you all with such a minor failure compared to most posts but no screen or headlight washing! I've tried the fuse. Is there just one pump for both windscreen and headlights? If so I guess that's where the problem is but how do I get to it?? The washer fluid tank doesn't look like it wants to come out without some dismantling of other components so is there any way to access the pump 'in situ'?? (1990 SE).

Ta.

I know this is a silly question, but you have checked that it isn't just that the pipes have frozen, haven't you? If you haven't got a high enough concentrate of screenwash in the tank in the weather we've had over the last couple of nights, it could quite easily happen.

Not a silly question at all James but I don't think that's the problem as there's no electric pump noise or anything - even in the garage which is 'home' in this weather and above freezing.

There is a connecter underneath the washer reservoir... this has a tendancy to come lose, well it does on my car. it takes nimble fingers but if you reach down under the bottle from the front of the car. If it isnt that then.... dunno!
