Planning to buy a NOCO Booster - anyone know which ampere size to go for. Recommended seems to be the Boost Plus GB40 1000A. Cheers

A couple of friends are mechanics who both have the GB50 and swear by them. As I am relatively clueless (generally...), I followed suit. £138 on Amazon didn't seem too crazy and I have used it twice in anger in the two years I've owned it. I suspect the GB40 will be all you'll ever need, but I took the decision-making away and bought what they had.
Merry Christmas
Funnily enough, we have just bought one, more for Claire's van than any of the other cars but went for the GB70 which was over £200 at Halfords but managed to get it for £174 from the RAC website. Probably too big for what you need but not a bad price point.

I've got a GB40 1000A for my old Boxster 2.7, also looks after the 2.2 Ctdi CRV diesel, and son has a GB40 also, for his GT86/M4
Mine has saved me a few times when the old Boxster battery was failing, and also saved me in the CRV when the bluetooth module failed, draining the battery after a couple of days.
1000A should be all you need really.
My mate has the GB50 which is 1500A
They really are great bits of kit, and could restart an otherwise healthy battery and pay for itself by you not needing to buy a new battery
