Noise/Sportcats

I have just got round to fitting some Cargraphic Cats to my RS. Apart from the fitting exercise being a little fiddly to make everything look nice and have clearance the sound is worthwhile.

Apart from the sound being different as there is now no mixing of the gases from the 2 banks under power it is quite loud. It is not unpleasantly loud but i am bothered as to noise tests at circuits as despite sounding very quiet in the car my RS did give 104 db last time at Oulton on a static test.

Does anyone have any experience of a similar set up?

I was also going to get the thing remapped which i presume is worthwhile now for a few more horses?

Kind regards

my 993 rs is running similar set up with cargraphic extractor manifolds with heat exchangers, cargraphic 100 cell race cats,
small cup mufflers, static test at Oulton was 103 dcb, may be worth considering some cargraphic mufflers also, there are two available, tuv approved and export which are slightly louder, a remap should extract a few more horses with your race cats, wayne schofield at chip wizzard is the man, very very knowledgeable, he's only up the road from Bolton too !
