Noisey hardtop for winter

The hard top has gone onto my C4S Cab for the winter (don't know why I took it of this year!!!!) but the bug bear of that is the creaking noises heard by my right ear as I drive along is driving me nuts. East Sussex to Bristol the other day and it was evident all the way there and back again. Any fellow cab owners have a fix for this apart from not putting the hard top on in the first place.

Thanks

Know the symptoms well!! Try vaseline on the rods and along the rubber trim where it meets the body of the car. It seems to have helped in my case!

porsche do something called krytox for applying a lube to the seals and also teflon tape for front of roof...

I have always used Vaseline - keeps the rubber supple and no creaks either. Cheap as well!

My 'science advisor' says that as vaseline is petrol based it will damage the rubber in the longterm - she recommends something which is silicon based like those spray canisters you can buy from Aldi for lubricating bicycles.
