I think BF is Space Grey. ([link=http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=230691]http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=230691[/link]) There isn't anything that you can do yourself to check the aircon. Being a new engine (assuming it was a Porsche exchange) it will have a new compressor, so I doubt that's at fault. The systems get noisy when the gas is low, so although you have had it re-gassed, I would get it checked again. Also, make sure they know the correct weight of refrigerant and oil to use.

Yeah - I thought so based on your colour codes... Actually, worth noting that on an exchange engine, Porsche do not provide a new compressor. The old one is taken off the existing engine. Everything else is provided - just not the compressor ! I suspect it is low gas - but I think I must have a leak somewhere as it shouldnt have gone down that quickly.... the OPC regassed it FOC for me - so I would hope they know what they are doing Thanks Alan

Hi,
I'm having a problem with my AirCon.
I had it regassed recently, and failry shortly after, it started to get quite noisy. Not mad noisy, but louder than I would like.
Its still blowing hot/cold air as requested but its just noisy... Its not always that way - some days its fine.. I guess its down to how hard it has to work.
If I turn off the aircon so that when I start up, its on the min setting with the compressor running its whisper quiet.
It was making noise in fairness before I regassed it - but having had a few minor alterations done (like a new engine) it didnt work at all afterwards. Since been rectified, but now the noise is back again.
Do they need to be bled - or is there anyway I can check if its a pressure problem? I had a bit of a look at the rads from the intakes and they look ok to me.
Thanks
Alan
p.s. - does anyone know what the interior colour BF is ????

The other place they leak is the lines -- the thick black metal ones -- that run down the right hand underside of the car, especially near the plastic brackets. Run a cloth along them and see if you get any greasy green fluid.
Especially if someone has badly placed a jack when lifting the car.ORIGINAL: Paul Fraser The other place they leak is the lines -- the thick black metal ones -- that run down the right hand underside of the car, especially near the plastic brackets.
