Noisy Plumbing

I just picked up my (new to me) 03 996 C2 from OPC Newcastle on Friday. After a drive of about 100 miles yesterday when I pulled up on my drive I noticed a noise I can only describe like noisy central heating/air locked radiators coming from the vicinity of the passenger airbag.

This morning with the engine cold when I turned on the ignition but before firing up the engine the noise was present again. It went off after driving but but I noticed it again putting the car into the garage tonight. I lifted the bonnet and could hear the noise in the luggage compartment near to where the screenwash filler is but it is much louder inside the car. I'll be ringing OPC tomorrow to investigate in the meantime has anyone any ideas what it might be.

Thanks

Bought my 2002 996 in Nov last year and it's never done what you describe. I'd get it back to the garage asap.

Suggest you keep an eye on tyre wear if you're running 285's as mine wore in 4.5k miles. Porsche and Pirelli both suggest a PSI which is way too high for normal driving.

Spoken to OPC who suggest it might be the aircon gurgling. I'm going back in on Friday for them to take a look.

Yes I'm running 285s, I think the handbook says 3 bar iirc. Its got new Michelin Cups on so I'm hoping to get more than 4.5K miles.

I have 265s on mine (Michelin PS) and I am having to replace them at 3.5K. I think its normal if you drive the car in any way shape or form it was designed for.
Thrash it and enjoy!
