Hi Guys, ive just returned from a month away in the Far East & as usual the 944 battery was dead, so I put my jumper pack on the battery & she started first time as usual, but on getting in the car I have a buzzing relay, its located behind the passenger front kick panel, its 2 relays joined back to back, but the one that's buzzing has two terminals joined to it, one is a long multi terminal, the other is a small two pin terminal with 2 reds & one blue wires coming from it, upon removing this two pin terminal the buzzing stopped, but carries on if I put the terminal back in, can anyone tell me what this relay does please as it doesn't seem to stop the car from running & everything else seems to work fine ?? do I need a new relay ?, cheers in advance, Jinxy

I had a relay in that area that did that once, it used to chatter and buzz, turned out to be the drivers door switch which puts the interior lights on - took the door switch out , cleaned it up and the noise stopped. It might be the same problem you've got , then again............

Cheers Norm, my passenger door switch is a bit sticky sometimes, but when I just went to take a look, the relay does click as the light turns on & off, so maybe this is the other relay & not the one with the terminal disconnected, still don't know what this does though, someone on here must know ??, cheers, Jinxy
