Noisy water pump - advice please.

Noticed a squeaky, worn bearing type noise coming from what I think is the water pump (I am no mechanic but it's the pump looking thing in the middle of the belt!). Given it's importance I am going to get it changed - after someone who knows what they are talking about confirms my suspicions - and I just wondered whether anyone had an idea of cost so I can haggle with my dealer (no indy's close to me).

I have done a search and turned up nothing but note that RSJ give a guide price of £420 plus VAT all in. Does that sound right? Any porsche techs out there who know how long the job takes?

I had similar and was told by OPC it is a common noise that is wosrt in the damp conditions of winter and can often be reduced by the replacement of the belt and a bit of lubrication (as over time this loses its elasticity) I was assured that the bearing was fine and would note that on mine it is much reduced when the engine is warmed up!

I am having the belt replaced (£56 at OPC) on Friday with the service and will see what the result is before deciding the next course of action if the problem persists.
