Noisy windscreen wiper motor - S2 (vid att)

Used my windscreen wipers on my 1992 S2 the other day and the motor sounds awful, like a sort of grinding sound, see vid below:

I've had a butchers and it's definitely the motor making the noise, not the linkages etc.

So, my questions [:D]

1) Is this game over for motor, or can it be taken apart and fixed? Sounds like the moving parts need lubricating.
2) A quick google indicates that changing the wiper motor can be a pain, any top tips?

Also, if anyone can point me to a 'how-to' for the motor removal, that would be great!

Thanks in advance [:)]

Changing the motor is not a bad job and can be done relatively quickly. I sell tested motors for £15 if yours is foobarred

if you are local to me I will gladly replace it for you.

Thanks Elliot! I think I'll probs go for the option of picking up another motor and swapping it over rather that faff about trying to refurb mine. Do you have a suitable replacement in stock at the moment? My car is a 1992 (J plate) S2.

I'm Bristol based otherwise I would jump at the chance of getting it fitted :)

Cheers,
Matt
