Non Porsche warranty

Do any of you guys in Scotland have warranties from non Porsche ?
There seems to be a few down south but it's a bit of a trek if anything goes wrong, basically I'd like to cover the engine form exploding, reading of IMS and RMS failures scare me, I don't fancy a £10K bill for repair !!

I have a 2 year old Cayman.

I think your options are limited and sounds like you already know them. Aside from the porsche warranty I don't know of any others which will cover you for the full value of a replacement engine - most have a claims limit of something ridiculously small like £2K in one year. As you said there are some schemes associated to dealers etc down south, but nothing useful for up here.

If you find anything let us know.

I used to have a OPC warranty on my Boxster but declined to take it up again as the cost is now about £1200
Warranty Wise the one advertised by Quentin Wilson seems a good one but have no idea as to its restrictions on the amount you can claim at any one time .Like Greig said most other schemes are with independents down south ,worth the call to see what they offer in terms of uplift and distance should a breakdown happen .

PS to Greig .Is Dexter getting a Scalextric this xmas[:D][:D]
