Non starter fixed!

I have fixed my previous problem...the wiring on the no 16 fuse with 25amp fuse, had corroded so badly that the wire had gone brittle and was not letting the power through to the fuel pump!!
I cleaned the fuse holder, replaced screw and re-wired the cable. The pump now works!

I examined the fuel pump, it was very corroded, and the jubilee clip had broken...BUT it still works..

Glad it's fixed, reply in the same the thread though otherwise the forum just gets jammed up with different threads on the same topic. [;)]
I didn't see your post earlier or a I'd have said what John said, the condition of the wiring you have found should give you a clue as to the condition of all other connections on the car. I suggest you remove and replace all fuses (and keep a spare set in the car), clean with a small wire brush and coat all fuse holders with electrical contact gel. (Halfords etc.)
