Interesting that both of them lost it in exactly the same way and hit almost exactly the same bit of armco.
I also wonder how many times the Nurburgring get to charge different people for the same bit of armco before they actually change it, or how badly it needs to be damaged before they charge you.
Whats the latest with the Nurburgring anyway? Not heard much of the "save the ring" stuff in the last couple of months.

I suspect that Eds guess is far more accurate than mine. Ive just looked again and I can now see that the cars are heading uphill.
The only thing that I can't see is the rumble strip that you run over on the exit of Eiskurve - maybe it's a bit further up the hill? Very hard corner, people turn in too early I think

This would explain why the cars are going so fast and have so much momentum as they swing through the left hander before oversteering off ! It's very easy to unsettle the car as you come over the crest at SchX and then the car is unsettled.

I know you can spectate at the spot after SX - here's a vid taken from just a bit close to the bend.

Definitely a corner to have something in reserve....and some throttle on to keep the back end planted

you can see from the second of those spins - I was probably only doing about 40. It is very very slippery there when its wet..

My guess is that it is Schwedenkreuz, the last left before Aremberg. The downfall of many a young Jack.
