Hi

See there's meets going on in South Devon, does anything happen in North Devon Exmoor with cars?

On the Saunton Xmas bash do you do anything with the cars?

Thanks in advance

Hi Ed,

There was the Lyn Valley classic - but that was last weekend! Not a Region organised event though. We have two drives each year, Spring and Autumn, and one usually takes in part of N Devon. The Christmas event is essentially a social one and most of us make it a two day event. The events page on the website details everything we have planned. I trust you are getting the monthly e mail newsletter? What type of event are you interested in?

Hope to see you at an event soon!

Hello Ed,

There are several members based in the North Devon area who regularly participate in Club events all over the country. In addition to the regional R15 events Alan has mentioned, there's usually an annual 997 Register Spring Tour of the area, which took place here last month.

Unfortunately, organisers no longer appear to promote events in this forum, which is a pity, but keep an eye on the upcoming events on the Club website for further info.

Where are your based BTW? I'm in Braunton.

Regards,

Hi

Many thanks for your replies.

Believed Lynton to be Ferrari's and Aston's in the main. Thanks yes am getting the emails, just wondering if there was any fun with cars locally vs the social stuff to be honest, hence wondered if you did anything with your cars on your Xmas bash?

Based on the outskirts of Bideford, frequently over at Saunton / Braunton. Due to family commitments, do not take too many passes to venture too far, though was at Beaulieu last week for Purely Porsche.

Are 993's allowed to join the 997 fun?

best

ed

James Tucker founded the annual Lyn Valley show and I know for a fact he is very happy to see Porsches there but, since he owns a Ferrari himself, those on show are probably friends or fellow FOC or AMOC members.

997 Register events are predominantly for 997 owners, but there is nothing to stop 993 members participating when spaces are available. Your contact is Register Secretary, Clive Wratten 997@porscheclubgb.com .

I'll keep an eye out for you in our area. [;)]

One of our local members, Andy Clayton, organised the Porsche presence at Lyn Valley - over 10 I believe.

We were notified of the event too late in the the year to include it in our already full calendar!

I tried some while back to organise a 993 event down this way but there was little appetite it seems.

You should try to get a pass to the Club night at PC Exeter in July - we could chat over events and stuff!
