I would like to say a big thankyou for a cracking day yesterday
I know everyone who competed had a good time and it was
great to see a good selection of Porsches doing what they were all
Intented to do
The organisers put on a good show and on reflection maybe Porsche Club GB
could learn from events like this where people can see these great cars put through
their paces
Thanks Des,Mel,Andy Steve & Co.

Roll on the next one

I agree - well organised; good fun for the drivers; mildly frustrating for spectators (hopefully will have a GT3 before the next one..)

Agreed big thanks to Des and all the marshalls for all their efforts on the day. I had a great time even though my times were'nt great[:D]

Laurence,

my car spent half the time in the air with my rock hard suspension on that bumpy
infield airtrack - my times were shocking as well ( excuse no.102 )

Yes a big thanks to Des and all the organisers for a great day, well done Chaps[:)]

On a more sombre note, I woke up this morning feeling a bit battered and bruised, since although those old watercooled GT3's look like "Routemasters" they didn't arff kick our Arses[:(][:(]

Now where did I put that phone number of the guy I sold my GT3RS to!![:D][:D]

p.s Don,t worry Des, I'am not wobbling, just a bit of fun[;)]

And a few extra awards:

Best Sounding Car -Timbo's GT3 RS

Best Line Around the Hairpin -Bruce Gowans GT3

Most Boring Driver -Richard van Maanen 993RS

Most Entertaining -Nick Evans 964RSR

Tim

You are not wrong with that statement... Proof of the altitude gained mid corner

I think we should have a caption competition with this shot (Des surveying the competition):

No Ollie,

This should be the caption competition;

Colin: "Now, where did I put those sheep?". [;)][:D][:D]

A top day out - and top weather too. Great bunch of guys, and all in the spirit in which it was intended. Good to put a few faces to names. Thanks to Des and all those who helped.

How about:-

I'll hedge my bets on this run

or

I've got a car I need to fence

or

Fencing....a sport for men.

or

GT3 or 964RS? Which side of the fence are you.

Don't think you can add a caption to the pic of Des, looks like he's nodded off [:D]

Great entertainment yesterday, thanks to all.

Hey, Tim!! After all the comments from the GT3 owners about the 64RS's non existant suspension, that is meant to be our excuse[:D]

I have to agree with Tim, what a fantastic day and a great bunch of guys. Huge thanks to all, it is for days like this I joined the Porsche club and my car. What a great day out.

Looking forward to the next event, whatever that happens to be!!

Steady........

Brain failure definitely the cause. Personally I think getting up at 3.45 to get to North Weald for 8.00 was probably 99% of the problem, but my racer's excuse is that at great expense I have just ordered a 993RS Cup ABS ecu to prevent the now notorious ABS shutdown problem of the standard ecu on bumpy surfaces.

Cracking photos of mine & Timbo's car launching over the hump at the apex on the first test - I knew is was a big one but did not think we would see so much air under the tyre.
