Not a 996 but.....

It's an awesome little motor!

Decided to upgrade the missus mini the other week, after hunting around found a mint one I was looking for and popped down and bought it. Popped it in the garage and didn't say a thing, when she went in there later that night she found it :)

I'm actually a bit gutted, as I bonded with the little beast quite well on the 100 mile drive home through the twisties.

It's really good fun, and comes with a ton of goodies and has a massive spec, it actually made me think of getting one as a daily driver, but as cool as it is, I'm just not sure it's big enough for me to sit back and cruise on the commute in.

Anyhow, fantastic little motors, great fun and quite a cute little beast, I highly recommend them :)

I love a lil nipster Steve!.
Great in the twists and turns, I have a little Smart for two beast in the back of my garage that I did a lot of mods to years ago and I love to take her out so much that I hate to poke her back again.

She costs me £110 a year insurance and £30 road fund LOL.

The induction noise from her is hilarious! from such a small car sounds more like a Cosworth.

Hehe cool! I know someone who had a smart tuned up a few years back.

Yeh the little motors can be good fun, not sure I could live with one on a day to day basis though for a long commute. When I got home from work I took the little beast for a little blast out of town and it was a great laugh though :)

I can't decide if it's cute, mean, angry or what lol, but it's kinda cool.

I really like them, and they certainly look great fun. I think the 500 is one of the nicest of the modern retro cars.

I'm a fan of hot minis, but the trouble is that small cars are getting bigger and bigger. If you compare an original 500 with a new one, the original is miniscule.

Yes they are great to nip around in, doubtful that I would be happy living in one on a day to day basis though.

The Abarth has seven airbags! Also LSD, aircon and a whole host of other bits so I guess they have to fit it all somewhere. I don't think we will ever see cars as small as they used to be these days though because of the emphasis on safety and regulations when it comes to cars.

I spent a small fortune on my little for two and have never been able to bring myself to get rid of her.
Handles like a go kart I must remember to take some photos next time shes out.
@ Steve with reference to your remark on LSD I have never taken this while driving her is this good in the bends?.

Very good fun in the twisties yes, but at high speed the car bobs around when changing directions quickly, to be expected given the lightness of the car I guess.

The LSD helps with cornering for sure, there is also a clever switch-able torque transfer control system too, it distributes power cleverly through the diff to stop torque steer and help with grip on acceleration out of bends etc, but I oddly like the torque steer sensation, makes it more fun!

Remember to pop a piccy up next time you uncover her :)

I found it made me thirsty as hell???

Longest I've done is about 400 miles round trip, felt like being beaten up.(hard shocks, loud tailpipe, loud induction, Angry turbo etc.)

I have a mate (honest) he goes home to Spain and back all the time and recently a couple of guys took one all over Africa.

Its a right giggle. We used to use it everyday years ago brilliant little cars (Merc dont have a clue about them, just sell em!.)
