Not a good day........

Ouch. I hope someone else was to blame and that they are paying for repairs, though it would be better if the damage hadn't been done in the first place.

I hope you can get it done quickly, if there is any argument with the other driver's insurance then use one of the claims companies such as Accident Exchange don't involve your own insurer as you're claim is against the other driver's insurer.

Thanks Kevan

The other drivers insurance have offered to sort it out and give me a loan vehicle etc. but I am wary that ultimately I am not their customer and if there is any aspect of it not being done properly then I do not have much power to get things sorted. My insurers have asked me to use their preferred claims company (which I have decided to do).

I thinks that's a wise move. I hope it all resolves to your satisfaction.

Thanks guys - been down today to see the car.

Painful to see your pride and joy sat in a compound instead of the garage at home.

Hi Chris

You must be gutted. Mines a gen 1 Cayman s in arctic silver also.

your photo could have been a picture of mine & i would be well sick

hope you get it sorted out, all the best

Chris,

you are far better dealing with the other driver's insurers directly than a claims management company that has been sold your details by your insurers.

the other guy's insurers have a legal duty to put you in the position you were in before the accident. They will let you choose a Porsche approved repairer. They will put you in a reasonable loan car with no costs risk to yourself.

the claims management company exists to profit from your claim. You don't need them.

be cautious. am afraid it's a lion's den out there, where there's blame there's a claim etc.

Very sorry to hear about your woes Chris. Hope you get it sorted quickly and to your complete satisfaction.

Jeff
