Not used my car much lately

This terrible weather and salty roads have really put me off using my car. I always said it has to be used come what may, but I have gone back on my own words.

Maybe the purchase of a new set of winter wheels and tyres were bought in haste!!

At least its safe and warm tucked away under its cover.

It's still only done 150 miles since I took delivery of it on the 14 November.

I wonder how many others tuck there 992 away from the bad weather and winter roads.

Similar story here Peter, I purchased my 992 S Cabrio in August 2019 and it was to be my daily driver, so ordered a set of Winters which were fitted in December 2019. Hardly used it at all over the Winter of 19/20, and then with the March lockdown, didn’t manage to get to the OPC Tyre Hotel to swap back to the Summer set until June. I really should have arranged to get the Winters back on during early December, but decided to put its cover on, fire up the CTEK battery conditioner and use the Macan.

As you say, I either probably rushed to buy the Winter set or should just bite the bullet and get it dirty!

Decisions, Decisions.

I think given you are not driving them much, then post a couple of pictures to keep us all motivated and appreciate those beauties ??????

I use mine every day, my only car. Although not much mileage in the past 2 weeks of lockdown

Mine went into a new (to me) storage unit close to home last October with the expectation of extracting it early January for Bicester and general running around for fun etc, but that's been canned!
I doubt I've done more than a few hundred miles in the past twelve months in the 992, and was hoping to rectify matters in 2021, so fingers crossed for the Spring.

Use my 992 whenever possible, give it a battery charge for a few days every two-three weeks if not done any long runs. Shopping seems to add an extraordinary lot of extra miles that don’t occur when doing it in the Mini! So far in excess of 8000 miles but that included a long tour through Europe in 2019 and would be higher but another tour last year deferred to this year and a second tour to follow it. Here is hoping I get my jabs soon and that Europe opens its doors to tourists in the summer!!! Great colour Peter, mine is GT silver with dirt!

Interesting to hear how members use their car. I picked up my 992S in November and have 1960 miles recorded. I have always used my 911 cars most of the year partly because it’s
my only option but also get excercise from a weekly wash!
